WHITMIRE GOLF COURSE
LOCAL RULES
1. Foursomes have right of way on course. Tournament players have right of way
during tournaments
2. Only one ball will be played from No. 1 tee box.
3. Markers will be used at all tee boxes.
4. Tool shed on No. 1 fairway not considered hazard. If struck on fly from tee box player will have optional ball. If struck a bounce ball may be moved to playable lie.
5. Trees around shed considered as hazard
6. One stroke penalty on ball out of bounds. Loss of stroke and distance. A provisional ball will be played from original position of lie.
7. Anything not cut with fairway mowers considered rough.
8. Ball may be moved one club length in fairway to improve lie, but not position.
9. Ball may be played from rough as is. Nothing living or growing will be moved to improve position or lie. Dead leaves, dead wood, etc., may be moved to improve lie but not position.
10. "Gimmie" putts are left to discretion of players. (No "Gimmie" putts allowed in tournament.)
11. The ditch separating No. 2 and No. 7 fairways will be considered as hazards.
12. The drainage ditch on right side of No. 6 fairway after turning dogleg will be considered as rough.
OUT OF BOUNDS
No. 2- Behind poles on back in right rough and gully.
No. 5-Across Railroad tracks in right rough.
No. 6- Across to right behind white painted trees
No. 8- Behind green past post at road to trash disposal area.
No. 9- Behind post on right of fairway.
All rules not covered by local rules will be played by U. S. G. A winter rules.
GENERAL COURSE RULES
A. Guest golfers must have paid guest permit. Must pay prior to play.
B. No one allowed to play before noon on Sunday.
C. No practicing on No. 9 green. All practicing will be conducted in area to right of shed on No. 1 fairway. No balls will be hit by practicing players to interfere with golfers playing.
D. Anyone reported destroying or littering golf course property will be subject to permanent dismissal from the course.
E. All children under twelve years of age should be accompanied by an adult for their own protection.
F. No Golf Carts allowed on course other than carts with regulation tires and bodies.
G. Golf Carts will not be driven closer than 30 feet of greens and tee boxes.
H. Please repair all ball marks on greens.
BASIC RULES
We hope you enjoy playing here. Please abide by all posted rules on signage and scorecards. Green fees and cart fees must be paid prior to play. Each individual riding on a cart must pay cart fees.
Name and contact information should be printed on payment envelope and envelope stub should be kept as proof of payment. Any individual(s) found to be playing golf or riding on club golf cart without paying will be escorted from the premises and may be subject to trespass notice.
